An alumnus of Berklee College of Music, Bala is an accomplished audio engineer and music producer with over a decade of experience in crafting exceptional soundscapes. As the founder of PDX Event Tech, he combines his passion for audio technology with a commitment to delivering flawless sound for every event. With a background in film scoring, live audio production, and collaborations with renowned musicians and organizations, Bala seamlessly blends technical expertise with creative innovation to produce unforgettable auditory experiences. His dedication to excellence and his love for sound have established him as a trusted leader in the industry.
Todd Baize – Tech crew
With 20 years of experience in the entertainment and media industry, Todd is dedicated to creating media projects that entertain, educate, and inspire. His expertise spans every aspect of audio and video production, including writing, pre-production, camerawork, lighting, audio recording, and post-production. Todd’s impressive portfolio includes work on a wide variety of projects for PBS, MTV, Destination America, and Alpha Media, just to name a few. These partnerships highlight his versatility and commitment to delivering compelling, high-quality content tailored to each project’s unique goals. Renowned for his attention to detail and creative problem-solving, Todd approaches every project with precision and passion, ensuring the final product exceeds expectations while staying true to the client’s vision.
Anna Martinez – Tech Crew
Anna’s passion for sound was ignited during the 1990s rave scene in Gainesville, FL. What began as a volunteer role at a recording studio turned into a paid position after she demonstrated a knack for helping clients stay on top of their studio fees. The studio owners introduced her to the basics of sound engineering, sparking her curiosity and enthusiasm for the field. In 2022, Anna focused her attention on assisting with system setups as a roadie, discovering a talent for organizing the processes connected to setup, teardown, and maintenance. By 2023, she was contributing to small festivals, and 2024 marked a new chapter as she began an apprenticeship, learning to adjust amplifiers, operate mixers, and train on a Void sound system. Her experience includes supporting legendary acts like Channel One Soundsystem, Mala, and DJ Dan. Anna approaches every project with enthusiasm, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to exceeding expectations. Her adaptability and drive make her a valuable part of any team, ensuring your event sounds its absolute best.
